A Table for Four at Five Guys, Please

When Brian went with Don Pinson on the Christian Heritage tour of Washington D.C. a few years ago he ate at a Five Guys restaurant there. He described how good the hamburgers and french fries were and said it'd be worth a special trip to eat at one of these restaurants.
Well.....guess what is now within a 45 minute drive from us?

Yep - a Five Guys restaurant!

We ventured over there last Tuesday and had our one meal for the day. (It was probably a good thing we only ate that one big meal, because afterwards I looked up the fat content and it accounted for about 3 meals :)

It was also our anniversary. :) We had celebrated the night before with just the two of us while the girls stayed with their b.f.f. and then on our actual anniversary we decided to take the girls on this date!

Their menu is very basic with burgers, hot dogs, and fries. They have 12 toppings you get to choose for your burger or hot dog. I had the cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms and pickles. Their fries are the kind they cut, cook, and fry! They were very good too! We have been trying to eat healthier for the past 6 months and after eating all of this food that afternoon, Brian and I both were sick! But I would have to say that it was worth it :P

If you've got a Five Guys near you I suggest you try it out. Not often, but at least every once in a while. We'll be ready to go back in a few months. Ha!

We ate at Five Guys last year when we went to Washington DC... and I didn't really care for it. I wonder if we just didn't find a good one. Did your fries come in a brown paper bag???
