#13 - The Cadillac

My van started making a really funny noise at the end of 2010. We took it to our local mechanic and when he couldn't pinpoint the noise he suggested that we take it to the Kia dealership. After paying them $100 (our warranty ran out :( 20,000 miles ago) they let us know that we'd need to have a new transmission (@$2400.) That the torque converter was going bad and it had probably done damage to the transmission as well.

Long story short - we got a second opinion -a local well known transmission business that was referred to us by our trusty local mechanic. They said also it was the torque converter, but we would need not replace the entire transmission. Yay! At this point $600 sounded a lot better than $2400! Didn't sound wonderful, but still we know when to be grateful. Our dear van has been gone for 2 weeks today and we should see her very soon!

My wonderful dad was so kind to let me borrow one of his cars. It's an older Camry and I really like driving it! I hadn't driven a car in a long time and I miss it. In fact, after today I might need to give the girls a car recognition class for school...............
Presenting Miss Cadillac Camry!
We were getting ready to leave today to run some errands with Brian and out of the blue Holly asked if we were going to drive the "Cadillac" or Daddy's Jeep. Hehe!

All I could do was stand there and giggle.

I said, "Honey, what Cadillac are you talking about?"

She answered, "You know, Pa's Cadillac!"

"Ohhh, you mean the Camry."

Cadillac/Camry - I'm just grateful to have a backup!

Matthew 6:33-34
" But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
