Swim Time!

Both of the girls are swimming this year for the Dolphins!  They've been practicing since mid-May and we've had two swim meets so far.

 Holly's very first race!  She got 2nd in freestyle!

 Anna got 3rd in her first fly heat and she got 1st last week at our home meet in her fly heat!


 Holly got 1st in her breast stroke heat!


It's so much fun to watch them and even though they were hesitant to start swimming this year, they are loving it!

#308 - Our Family's Biggest Loser

Two weeks ago yesterday I had to have a physical for our health insurance and my new doctor told me about a website that helps you track your daily calories and exercise. So Anna and I started doing it that very day I went to the Dr. and we've been doing a lot of exercising! But it also means that I've been getting up earlier and going to bed earlier, so my blogging time has been cut a little bit. :) We've also been busy and I'm going to try to get everything posted and caught up by the weekend.

Last Tuesday Brian thought of the idea of doing a biggest loser for our family. So we separated into teams with Anna and me on one team (since we had kind of already started) and Brian and Holly on the other. The goal is to see which team can lose the most percentage body fat by April 1st, 2012. The winners will receive some $$moolah$$ :) We had our first weigh in last night and Anna won for the week! We've just been eating healhier and trying to get back into the habit of eating better foods.

#19 - Crunch Time

This morning I started back with my crunches. Brian and I got this ab cruncher about 14 years ago - that is why it looks like an antique! But it still works, if we'd use it......haha!

I have a love/hate relationship with this fine piece of equipment. I'll do really well for several months and then something will throw off my schedule and blah, blah, blah, excuses, excuses! :)

This morning I did 200 crunches! I plan on combining crunches with a small pilates workout in the morning. Going to the gym is just not always possible with the girls school and Brian's work schedule so I've just gotta work it in however and whenever!


1 Timothy 4:7-8
"But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come."
